Mailboxes crammed full of political, mud-slinging, glossy flyers; angry left/right journalism fueled by vitriolic TV commercials; and the awkward avoidance of ‘all things political’ discussions among friends hopefully will now begin to fade in our Nation’s rearview mirror.
The recent ‘Blue Wave’ election finds American citizens ambivalently optimistic/pessimistic, uncertain about our Nation’s future. One thing remains certain … Together is Better! … there are no partisan Blue/Red tumultuous waves in God’s domain, just the harmonious calm of peace.
Pollyannaish? … Impossible? … Absolutely, considering human narcissism should we continue to pursue contention vs. consideration another’s perceptions. That the Lord fashioned us with two ears and one mouth testifies that we all would do well to subjectively ‘zip-it’, and objectively listen more to each other. I’m included in that directive, constantly striving to filter my personal biases through my awareness that every individual has been created in God’s image.
However, if we individually chose to relinquish our self-interests to God’s directives, Pollyannaism and narcissism will mitigate. Then together we can begin the long journey of healing the tragic division that exists in our beloved One Nation Under God, United States of America. Our heavenly Father has promised us such if we will truly humble ourselves … pray … and seek His face.
Such were my thoughts last evening checking my game camera SD cards gathered earlier as I pondered the “What’s next Lord?”
Our all merciful, loving and forgiving Abba answers every prayer we may silently utter, and knows every thought, concern and doubt we privately harbor … and … He answered in a 7 second vid-clip!
Loading the SD card from a front yard game camera, the following scene filled my computer screen … a precious, mystical ‘thin-space’ heaven-touches-earth moment!
Watching in mystical wonder His answer on the wind with showers of golden leaves, my “…All things are possible…” Lord assured me of His 2 Chronicles 7:14 immutable promise …
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Please join with me in your prayers to humbly submit to God’s leading as together we endeavor, by His grace, to Make American Godly Again for us, and for our children … Together we can!
