Silent Soul Stirrings

Deep early morning’s shadows draping the river valley, and mystical mountain mists silently stirred tranquility in my soul.

A hen turkey suddenly peering in the kitchen window silently stirred a smile in my soul, and “The mountains are calling and I must go” yearning … so I went … up the trail to Castle Mt. 😊

Record July rains had flooded the valley just below tree line, denying me access to the little million-dollar view hut on the upper reaches. However, His creationscapes along the trail silently stirred the comforting  peace of “Be still and know that I am God” in my soul.

Here’s a few silent soul stirrings that were mine to behold all alone up on the mountain … leaving me with a supernatural tinge of what Jesus experienced when He often left the crowds and “…went up on the mountain…”

I M Blessed … May U B 2

  2. Thank you for these stunning photos, Fred. Awe-inspiring! Just prior to reading your post a chorus we sang in church last Sunday was playing in my mind: “Be still, and know I am God!” How about that?! I am SO very thankful that at any moment I can turn to him, remember who he is (my loving, all-powerful, all-wise, attentive Father) and refresh my spirit in the knowledge that all things are under his control.
