Sustained … Carried … Rescued

This summer has found many in the Lower 48 battling oppressive heat, raging wildfires, and devastating floods. Gratefully we’ve been spared such maladies.

It’s been cooler and damper than normal summer in the Last Frontier, with sunshine at a premium. Being a sunshine fan, were it possible, I would negotiate with Mother Nature to restrict rain solely to nighttime 😊

Opening the shades this morning this was the view that greeted me … unquestionably majestic …  yet another gray, sans sunshine day

Before I could launch a silent sunshine wish, the ethereal mists drifting across gray mountains dusted in fresh snow whispered a contented Scripture of assurance, reminding me how truly blessed I’ve been all along life’s journey …  Sustained … Carried … Rescued … and another day closer to my eternal Sonshine Home. Thank You Lord!

Even in your old age and gray hairs, I am He

I am He who will sustain you.

I have made you and I will carry you;

I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

Isaiah 46:4

  1. Fred, your photo is majestic. I also live in Alaska and it definitely is cooler and wet. Thankful there has not been wildfires.
