Great Smoky Mountain Morning Majesty

Waterfall’s rhythmic splashing outside our door awakened us in the predawn. Gently roused, we headed up the mountain to Cades Cove.

The Great Smoky Mountain’s flora and fauna were there to welcome us. In silent, reverent wonder we witnessed Creation, with all her magnificent splendor, softly awake Mother Nature to begin the new day.

“God dwells in His creation and is everywhere indivisibly present in all His works. He is transcendent above all His works even while He is immanent within them.”

  1. Think I may have got Nancy and Mamalava mixed up on my replies to their gracious comments on Great Smoky Mountain Morning Majesty . . . sorry ladies. Hope you can grant me a senior waiver 😊

Anyway . . . Nancy, I love Michael Hyatt’s “God’s Living Room” definition of His outdoor wonderland. Thanks for sharing that. You’d have to be blindfolded not to see God’s fingerprints embedded in creation.

  2. You are one patient photographer to get such beautiful shots of those deer and the butterfly! We love the Smokies for their lush foliage and undulating ridges. Maybe I’ve mentioned it here before, but Michael Hyatt (former CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishing) calls the outdoors, God’s Living Room. Isn’t that a lovely thought?
