Dolly’s Legacy

Along with countless others, my wife and are grieving Dolly’s passing, only eased by knowing someday we will be forever reunited.

Ellen and I are blessed to be able to snowbird between two awesome corners of Creation … the vast Greatland of Alaska, and the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains of TN. Our TN home is just 15 miles from where a genuinely altruistic, truly wonderful, rag-to- riches lady grew up as a child … Dolly Parton.

Although Ellie and I never had the opportunity to personally meet Dolly, her compassionate, caring spirit; exuberant joy for life; and firm faith testified to a lady who consistently ‘Walked it like she talked it’  lifestyle for everyone to aspire to.

Saddened, but eternally hopeful, I imagine what Dolly, now forever free of this world’s illnesses and troubles, might say could we ask, “What would you ask of us still here now Dolly?”

I envision this precious lady with her jubilant smile replying, …” Keep the faith, and Pay-It-Forward to others”.

Thank you, Dolly for leaving such an inspiring legacy for all to follow and make our world a better place to share together.
