In the Chugach Range lies the magnificent Matanuska Glacier. Creeping slowly forward at a rate of 1ft./day, this 27 miles long, 4 miles wide colossal frozen sheet births the headwaters of the Matanuska River, and is the largest glacier in the United States accessible by car.
Practically in our front yard just 25 miles up the road, Ellie and I never tire of visiting this magnificent flowing river of ice. Here’s what transfixed our gaze in awesome wonder yesterday. We are blessed . . . May U B 2
