Each of us has that special place where we may leave, but it will always claim the place our heart calls home.

“Hey, it’s good to be back home again.” John’s Denver’s quote echoed in my mind as we touched down in Anchorage last Sunday. I suspect another oft mentioned quote echoed in John’s mind each time he returned to his beloved West Virginia … “Home is where your heart is.”

It’s no secret this old wandering Ragamuffin’s heart calls the Last Frontier home. Waking up to these scenes each day floods my soul with gratitude, heightened by my Savior’s promise they are but a glimpse of my eternal Home awaiting me …

“In my Father’s house there are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” – John 14:2
