National Day of Prayer

Today is our nation’s National Day of Prayer. All across America people will gather together to pray, share their faith, and celebrate our blessings while, in some countries Christians are being persecuted for proclaiming their faith. I’m forever grateful we live in America where, despite our nation’s struggles, we still enjoy the freedom to openly assemble to pray and share our faith.

The three colors on our country’s flag represent values our nation was founded upon:

Red represents Valor . . . White represents Purity . . . and the Blue background on which 50 white state stars lie, represents Justice.

In 1954 President Dwight Eisenhower, moved by a sermon about the blessings upon a nation established under God’s principles, introduced a bill to Congress to include the words “…under God…” in our flag’s pledge, and it was added.

Today, seven decades later, we sadly find our nation politically polarized, assaulted by adversarial gods of Money, Power, Hatred and Vengeance that would contentiously and divisively have us view not white, but red, blue and purple stars on Justice’s field of blue.

But God remains ever in control, and has promised in 2 Chronicles 7:14 to heal our land … IF … each of us will truly humble ourselves, earnestly pray, and continually seek His face for wisdom and guidance to return to the “…one nation under God, indivisible United States of America our forefathers envisioned 250 years ago, and countless brave men and women have since have defended, fought, and died for.

On this National Day of Prayer, for our nation, ourselves, and for our children, may we peacefully agree to disagree, humbly unite, and sincerely strive together to Make America Godly Again … Greatness will follow.

May God Bless America!

Keep Looking Up ^ . . . His Best is Yet to Come!

  4. Thank you Hazel ! It’s when a nation’s people begin putting ‘Me’ first instead of ‘Thee’ first that it begins it’s decline into godlessness. Humility, prayer and seeking God’s wisdom and guidance will restore us.
    Be blessed sister.

  5. I hope many will still believe His power and glory, and they weren’t be blind by the earthly things. I hope American leaders remember God. It’s sad to hear that some agree, it’s a godless city, for example.
