Social distancing has rapidly become the new universal moniker as our world hunkers down in place to deter corona-virus’s spread. Yet, as with most dire situations, a ‘silver lining’ exists.
As the dreadful spike in the numbers of COVID-19 cases and deaths has continued to accelerate during recent weeks, there has also been an accompanying spike in the number of encouraging e-mails and phone calls received from others.
Today, a friend of mine sent me this hymn, perhaps my favorite. Horatio Spafford composed this uplifting hymn in the midst of his life’s greatest tragedy. May it bring a ray of hope into your day as it did mine.
