Cycle of Life

Each year at this time I stand at streamside in awe of the mystery unfolding before me . . . salmon returning thousands of miles from the uncharted reaches of the sea.  Their innate,  infallible GPS navigates them to the precise place in freshwater streams and ponds where they began life years ago.  Not a single one of their countless millions ever turn back to the sea.  They sacrifice their final days to give birth to a new generation.

This bittersweet life-to death-to life drama of Nature reminds me of the ultimate sacrifice of my Savior’s death He willing bore on Calvary to give me life eternal with one blessed difference . . . He rose and returned Home where he awaits my return . . . PTL!
Be Blessed, and . . .
