Home Break-in Follow-up

Following Smokey’s recent small tree house break-in, our community’s FCW (Feral Crime Watch) director ambled upstream to the scene of Smokey’s recent house break-in.

Having endured past disturbing Smokey incidents, Bambi was prompted to gather a few feathered FCW members to discuss Smokey’s latest rowdy behavior that left Mr. and Mrs. Screech Owl homeless

Henrietta ardently clucked on-and-on about how Smoky had torn up her forest floor nesting site.  Harry, in typical unhurried, measured fashion, criticized Smokey’s continually wading and muddying the waters in his favorite fishing spots. Woody and his bride quietly quacked their concerns if a neighborhood prowled by Smoky would be a safe place to raise a new brood of ducklings.

Everyone admired the woodscrew/gorilla glue restoration of the small tree house, and its elevated installation on a different tree was unanimously approved. All agreed that in housing LocationLocationLocation is everything! 😊

Here at Sanctuary up on the mountain – down in the ‘holler’ – over the ‘crick’ consensus was finally achieved. It was determined that enhanced FCW monitoring of Smokey’s behavior activities would immediately be implemented.  Since the Screech Owls had decided to relocate after the break-in, the Woodies are now considering moving into the refurbished small tree house to raise their new family here. Once again, all is well at Sanctuary😊

Here’s a vid clip of the FCW members in attendance, and a short video link of the Sanctuary scenes we’re blessed to share with our feral friends:

Did someone just comment, “Fred definitely has way too much time on his hands”?  . . . guilty as charged, but given . . .

  • My very pregnant mother T-boned a trolley car and I was delivered by forceps … “Ouch!”.
  • I’ve been ‘Off Track’ ever since
  • I’m ADHD
  • As a blissfully retired ole duffer I operate in ‘Every day’s Saturday’ free-wheeling mode
  • In my defense, Ellen left me left unsupervised

Smile 😊. . . and please grant me a buy

This is the day the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it.”
