Home Break-in

Last evening up here on the mountain – down in the ‘holler’ – over the ‘crick’ our sanctuary’s normal peaceful solitude was violated! . . .  a small tree house was broken into and removed from its location!

Fortunately, the small home’s tenants took ‘flight’ and no one was harmed.  Unfortunately, the ransacked home was uninsured. Consequently, the owner will be liable for ‘bearing’ all damage and relocation expenses.

Fortunately, the perpetrator was captured on camera, and a positive identification has been made from our neighborhood Crime Watch files. Unfortunately, despite a lengthy rap sheet of previous property infractions, he will not be prosecuted due ‘feral immunity’ ☹

Here’s the video of the crime in progress along with a photograph of the considerable destruction inflicted by the intruder. Fortunately, the removed house since been located, and the owner intends to repair and relocate it . . . but at a substantially higher elevation 😊
