On Kona, the largest of Hawaii’s six islands, over 90% of is covered by lava less than 1,500 years old. Driving around the Big Island, the vast expanses of lava conveyed an aura of desolation.
But … Amazingly! … growing through the lava, small twisted trees with bright red flowers dotted the bleak landscape. Symbolizing love, resilience and rebirth, the Ohi’a lehua tree is the first tree to grow on new lava. It’s the Hawaiian state tree.

In a few hours, Easter 2026 will arrive, my favorite Christian day. Like Kona, regretfully I’ve forfeited much of my life’s potential beauty, demolished by the bleak desolation of my sins.
But … Amazingly! … rising through my sin hardened lava, Jesus, my Tree of Life with blood red blossoms, has brought love, resilience and rebirth to my soul … forever … PTL!
All the best for all His best this Easter to you and yours … Aloha!
He is Risen!
