Smoky Mountain Fall Spendor

Ellie and I motored up to the highest point in Great Smoky Mountains today.  Standing atop  Clingman’s Dome at 6,643 ft you can see 7 states on a clear day … TN, KY, VA, NC, SC, GA and AL … on this clear day, from this height, all were joined in hushed peace.

As Summer’s warmth yields to Fall’s chill, the leaves surrender their vibrant greens to a kaleidoscope of yellow, orange and red hues decking the mountains in a final display of vivid splendor before dropping to the forest floor.

As the sun set behind the mountains on our return, a familiar verse silently spoke in the glow,  declaring the wonders of His Creation our day had witnessed  . . .

The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.”

Psalm 19:1

I M Blessed . . . May U B 2
