Heat Wave

Our area averages 34 days/year with temperatures of 90 degrees or more. Today was the 28th day this year with 90+ temps . . . this ain’t Alaska!

You know it’s HOT when you’re awakened by splashing outside the bedroom at night and see Smoky cooling off in the creek. I was gonna’ throw him a towel but he decided to just shake it off and drip dry😊

I love living in the woods with all my feral friends. Stay cool and …

Keep Looking Up . . . His Best is Yet to Come!

  2. I noticed on the news today temps in the 120s in some spots of MO, TN, and FL!!! Surely that’s a record! It’s hot enough here in the Ohio Valley–we’re experiencing temps in the 90s also. Respite is on the way, however! Thursday-Sunday should be much more pleasant. ‘Hope that’s true for those locales sweltering in three-digit heat.

  4. It’s the humidity that’s the culprit Gary. 80 degrees in Alaska is dry and comfortable. Here in TN it’s a dripping sauna 😅

  5. So different from Alaska I’m sure. We once moved from southern Iowa to Northern Minnesota…10-20 degree difference in both winter and summer.
