Open Gates

Every individual is a divinely designed, one-of-a-kind creation. We each enjoy living life at a certain, custom designed pace. From methodical, planned-out steps, to spur-of-the-moment, impulsive leaps, each tends to regard the other’s life modus operandi as a bit strange. Either way, it’s the stuff which makes life an exciting adventure to be shared . . . viva la difference!

As a lifelong wannabe cowboy, I love horses and came across this pic that got my mind a-wandering . . . an all too frequent state 😊 It suddenly meshed with a favorite Scripture verse illustrating  my spontaneous life pace.

For the most part, it’s been an undeserved, joyous journey, relishing the adrenaline spikes. However, it’s those sobering Shoulda-Woulda-Coulda times I chose not to remain behind tempting open gates that have accounted for my life’s greatest heartaches . . . carefully contemplate your life’s open gates before bolting through.

This is the day the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it.”

Psalms 118:24

Yes, while there is life, there is hope. I love the picture of these horses running wild. What freedom! 😃

  2. I sure relate Fred. At this stage I might be the last horse in the picture and able to stop at the gate…maybe.
