Happy Place

Each of us has our special ‘Happy Place’ where our soul is most at peace. For some it’s walking along a beach, feeling the warm sand beneath your feet, listening to the surf’s rhythmic beat. For others, it’s being immersed in a city’s bright lights, activities and cacophony of sounds . . . never quiet understood that 😊

Ever since I shed diapers, climbing among my Abba’s Mountain cathedrals, caressed by cool breezes and soft sunshine on my face, has been this ole curmudgeon’s ‘Happy Place’.

Laving Portland, Oregon last Tuesday, gazing over the magnificence of the Cascades and Mt. Hood, my soul silently echoed David’s ‘Happy Place’ song he once was inspired to scribe . . .

“Lord, I love the house where your glory dwells

Psalms 27:8

May you often dwell in your ‘Happy Place’

Keep Looking Up ^ . . . His Best is Yet to Come!

  1. I love the verse you shared. May our house be engulfed with the Holy Spirit, so people who live in will love each other. Keep shining, Fred!

  2. Oh, that is so stunning. I’m trying to figure out the perspective though – are you looking South and the other mountains are the Sisters? Love the mountains!!

  3. The mountains are my happy place too. “For behold, he who forms the mountains and creates the wind, and declares to man what is his thought, who makes the morning darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth— the LORD, the God of hosts, is his name!” (Amos 4:13)
