Wandering the forest today Mother Nature serenaded me with sporadic drumbeat of acorns, dislodged by each gust of wind, softly thudding to the forest floor. The mast crop is abundant this year, and the squirrels, bears, deer and other forest denizens are feasting on the bounty.

Listening in the solitude I sensed the wonder of a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson . . .
“The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn.”
Some 2,000 years ago Jesus spoke it first . . .
“How can I picture God’s kingdom for you? What kind of story can I use? It’s like an acorn that a man plants in his yard. It grows into a huge oak tree with thick branches, and eagles build their nests in it.”
Luke 13:18-19 (Message Bible)
Barring stumbling into Ponce de Leon’s Fountain of Youth 😊, I’ve reached the age where I’ll never sit in the shade of an oak tree that has grown from an acorn I’ve planted here below. However, there will be no shade forever in the light of His glory above someday.
Keep Looking Up ^ . . . His Best is Yet to Come!
